The role ensures the safe operation of the ammonia refrigeration system and plant utilities, including boilers, air compressors, and HVAC. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to read schematics, and experience with various types of compressors, pumps, and HVAC units. The technician must also be willing to obtain Hazmat Responder Certification and be an active part of the Hazmat Response Team, including HAZWOPER training. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, potentially in cold and wet conditions, and requires physical capabilities such as climbing, working at heights, and lifting up to 70 lbs. Availability for weekend and additional shift work is necessary.
