About The Position

This posting is for the Refrigeration Maintenance position at the Clarksville, AR complex. This position will be scheduled for 1st shift. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Refrigeration Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping equipment running to maintain continuous production. You must be willing set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis and be willing to stand on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in ammonia refrigeration or HVAC, or the equivalent certification from a technical school
  • Minimum of 1 year of documented mechanic work experience in the work history section of the application and/or resume, be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program, or training beyond high school in either an associate or technical field
  • Candidates with a combination of experience and training will be considered
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to use math as needed
  • Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis
  • Must be willing to stand on your feet for a period of 12 hours
  • Must be willing to complete all required training for the job

Responsibilities

  • Assist refrigeration and maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment
  • Assign refrigeration techs to equipment during process periods
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdowns
  • Train refrigeration and maintenance techs on equipment
  • Follow-up on parts inventory and outstanding POs
  • Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plant
  • Keep equipment running to maintain continuous production
  • Set up, adjust and break down production line machinery
  • Learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation
  • Make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
