About The Position

This position is a starter position in the Refrigeration Department to perform cleaning/washing Ammonia refrigeration air units and HVAC /MAUs units on the roof, change filters, clean roof area, etc. You will shadow Refrigeration Techs to be trained in the ammonia refrigeration system and will be considered for any future Refrigeration Tech positions open. You will also create Maintenance Notifications, work orders, and confirm time into the SAP system. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Able to work in hot/cold/wet environments
Requires pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs.
Requires climbing ladders above 10 feet
Requires walking and standing approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floor
Must be able to work on weekends and holidays as scheduled
Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Requires passing a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical and be recertified each year
Requires being clean shaven to get a proper fit while using APR/SCBA equipment
Requires being a member of the Plant Hazmat Team
Must be able to complete Refrigeration and General Maintenance computer-based training
Must have 1 year maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years
Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior
Applicants must also have completed at least 180 days since their last employment with Tyson
