About The Position

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be willing to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally and be able to work on your feet, moving throughout the facility for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to work in temperatures ranging from about -10F through about 110F occasionally. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Requirements

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electric pallet moving equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Industrial Refrigeration systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building and grounds.
Perform preventative maintenance on batteries, battery chargers, battery racks, and carts as needed.
Train in Hazmat and safety procedures and be respirator certified.
Other duties as assigned.
This job requires becoming HAZMAT certified and maintaining this qualification. This entails completing and passing a HAZMAT physical, pulmonary function test (lung capacity) and OSHA Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire.
The applicant must maintain an attendance level below 7 points. If they accumulate 7 points or more while in the position, they will be offered any available vacancy in the production department.
