About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated effectively to the team members and efficiently. Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team. Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment. Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed. Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment. Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals. Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

Requirements

  • Willing to work overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to work in hot/wet or cold/wet environments.
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift over 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders above 10 feet.
  • High school education, and/or industrial maintenance training or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to use SCBA equipment.
  • Passing a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, and be recertified each year.
  • Must be clean shaven to get a proper fit while using SCBA equipment.
  • At least 6 months’ industrial refrigeration experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial refrigeration.
