About The Position

Refrigeration Maintenance is responsible for operating and maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairs to all refrigeration and HVAC equipment. This role involves monitoring system operations, keeping required logs, examining and troubleshooting problems, repairing equipment, completing preventative maintenance, and controlling start-up and shut-down systems. The position requires informing supervisors of potential problems, participating in PSM and RMP, and adhering to all OSHA, EPA, and IIAR standards and company policies. Employees will work around ammonia, Freon, Co2, and natural gases, and will learn to operate both old and new equipment. Other duties such as painting and cleaning may be assigned. Work is performed under frequent or occasional direction depending on the task or project.

Requirements

Must be able to walk and stand for duration of the shift
Must have workable use of both hands
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to bend, twist, push, pull and reach
Ability to climb stairs

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain refrigeration and HVAC equipment
Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment
Monitor system operations
Keep required logs
Examine and troubleshoot problems
Repair equipment
Complete preventative maintenance (P.M.'s)
Control start-up and shut-down systems
Inform supervisor or fore-person of potential problems
Participate in PSM and RMP
Follow all OSHA, EPA, and IIAR standards
Follow all company policies
Work around ammonia, Freon, Co2, and natural gases
Learn to operate old and new equipment
Perform other duties as assigned, such as painting and cleaning
