About The Position

This role involves assembling, brazing, and processing refrigeration systems for refrigerated display cases. Responsibilities include performing leak tests, evacuation, charging, and testing of these systems, as well as conducting Di-electric with stand tests and other performance tests to ensure the display cases function as designed. The job also entails bending and soldering copper tubing for coils, testing for leaks, and occasionally changing nitrogen tanks. Other duties as assigned may also be part of the role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass required EPA certifications (training provided)
• Ability to be cross trained in other areas

Nice To Haves

• Previous brazing, soldering, or welding experience preferred (will train on job)
• Knowledge of basic electrical wiring preferred
• Ability to interpret blueprints or bills of material preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble, braze and process refrigeration systems for all refrigerated display cases
• Perform leak test, evacuate, charge and test refrigeration systems
• Perform Di-electric with stand tests and all other performance tests to ensure refrigerated display cases operate as designed
• Bend copper tubing using tools to fit appropriate coils; solder pieces together; place “charge” on coil to test for leakage
• Occasionally change the tank of dry nitrogen
• Other duties as assigned
