About The Position

Circle Logistics is seeking an A-player Refrigerated Freight Sales and Operations Lead to build, coach, and scale a high-performing Carrier Sales team focused on temperature-controlled freight. This leadership role involves owning the strategy, execution, and results in the complex refrigerated freight market. The position offers high-impact leadership, market ownership of seasonal reefer volatility and surges, and opportunities for team growth and development with a clear pathway to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of freight brokerage experience
  • 2+ years of reefer or temperature-controlled freight experience (strongly preferred)
  • Prior leadership, mentorship, or team lead experience
  • Strong negotiation skills and deep reefer market knowledge
  • Proven ability to manage high-pressure, time-sensitive freight
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Managing and coaching a team of 3–6 Carrier Sales Representatives
  • Conducting weekly 1:1s, performance reviews, and call coaching
  • Developing the team in carrier negotiation, lane strategy, margin protection, and reefer market execution
  • Overseeing procurement of refrigerated and temperature-controlled capacity
  • Building and maintaining core carrier networks in key reefer lanes
  • Ensuring consistent coverage for produce, frozen foods, and dairy
  • Holding the team accountable to KPIs, including on-time performance, tender acceptance, load coverage time, and margin targets
  • Owning high-level relationships with refrigerated carriers and negotiating pricing agreements
  • Partnering with Customer Sales and Operations on new business wins, difficult lanes, and service recovery
  • Creating SOPs and training processes for reefer execution, temperature checks, breakdown response, and high-risk load planning
