About The Position
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is seeking a Reformer Instructor to assist the JCC community in establishing, maintaining, and exceeding its fitness goals. This role involves leading safe and effective classes, ensuring equipment is maintained, and providing excellent customer service to members.
Requirements
- Nationally recognized Reformer/Pilates Instructor Certification required.
- CPR/AED required.
- Minimum 1-year experience leading Reformer/Pilates classes.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Skilled motivator.
Nice To Haves
- High school Diploma/GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Engage members in conversation, address them by first name, and introduce yourself.
- Arrive to class five minutes early.
- Conduct all classes in a safe and effective manner.
- Turn off stereo equipment at the end of class.
- Put away mats, tubes, balls, dumbbells, etc.
- Pick up towels, water bottles, trash, and other items left behind by members after each class.
- Provide appropriate music for class, ensuring it does not contain expletives or offensive lyrics.
- Inspect Reformer equipment before each class and wipe down machines after use.
- Report any equipment issues promptly.
- Attend new hire orientation during the first month of employment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
