REFINING LEAD - DAY SHIFT Major Responsibilities Adhere to all SOPs for the operation, QA and HSE. Ability to complete distillation and post processing and provide guidance to team. Work safely with hazardous chemicals and cleaning agents being used – ensure to follow all safety procedures on site including donning of all appropriate PPE (respirator, goggles, etc.) Active participation in leading KPI discussion for extraction and achieve daily KPI production goals and indicate limitations in processes. Identify improvement opportunities and report issues in order to maximize efficiency, quality and yield while ensuring safety and reliability. Track and record all downtime, collaborating with the maintenance crew to schedule maintenance activities and reduce downtime. Follow isolation and LOTO procedures on high pressure equipment to allow maintenance activities to be completed safely. Lead submissions on weekly inventory counts and monthly inventory reconciliation. Perform operational tasks such as equipment set up, troubleshooting extraction equipment to minimize downtime. Communicate effectively with the previous and next shifts to ensure a smooth handoff for continuous production. Ensure timely batch record and work order entry completion with high accuracy. Achieve daily KPI production goals and indicate limitations in processes Follow training plan and Train & Signoff all new employees or contractors as required. Coordinate the activities of full-time and temporary workers in your work area as assigned; ensuring training is conducted, SOPs are followed, resources are allocated correctly to meet daily objectives, and any deviations are reported to Supervisor. Management of independent training modules to ensure that training for all extraction production areas are up to date with little oversight. Perform sanitation activities as per GPP requirements Ensure 100% compliance with QA requirements during day-to-day activities including sample submission to TPL. Work order entry into ERP system for dedicated area as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum GED requirement with 2+ years laboratory, production/manufacturing, cannabis or equivalent experience Achieve Level II technician in Refining, distillation or refining Flex Tech preferred. Experience within Cannabis industry is a requirement. Requirements
