Join the HALO Breast Care Center team as a Referrals & Authorizations Coordinator. This full-time opportunity has a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm schedule, and is located at our outpatient imaging center in Chico, CA.

Requirements

At least 1 year of recent medical office experience coordinating with a team of medical professionals.

Responsibilities

Review all incoming orders from faxes and work queues.
Index all incoming orders from fax folder to VSDM.
Verifies that all orders include patient demographics
Ensure that patient does not exist currently in medical record.
Contact referring physician’s office for any missing information.
Verify insurance eligibility and expected share of cost.
Use InstaMed and payor site/portal to verify information and communicate with patients regarding share of cost.
Update insurance information in RIS, to acknowledge patient confirmation of eligibility.
Process any and all authorizations needed for exams.
Confirm/Request all priors and pathology.
Sends all verified exams to scheduling.
Prints Router sheets and verifies insurance, day before exam.
Documentation & follow up with referring offices and marketing/business development liaison for education.
