Requirements

  • Current WA State RN License and (3) years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting -OR- Current WA State LPN License and (5) years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in referral coordination, case management, or utilization review preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Referral Services Department — ensuring every referral is processed efficiently, accurately, and with cultural and clinical excellence.
  • Guide a dedicated team, streamline workflows, and collaborate with providers and partners to ensure that every patient receives the care they need, when they need it.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the Referral Services team — fostering growth, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance on referral management, PRC (Purchased/Referred Care) processes, and utilization review.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct clinical and administrative case reviews for PRC Committees and prepare utilization and expenditure reports.
  • Collaborate with internal providers, external specialists, and the Member Services team to ensure coordinated, equitable access to care.
  • Monitor referral trends and develop cost-containment and access-improvement strategies.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with all PRC, TMRS, and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Promote culturally responsive, patient-centered care that aligns with community values.
