About The Position

As a non-profit community mental health center serving southeastern Jackson County, Missouri, we’re passionate about helping individuals impacted by mental illness or substance use find hope, support, and healing. The Clinical Support program supports programs within that fall under our mental health and substance use disorder departments. The Clinical Support team provides support to ReDiscover employees and is focused on providing direction and customer services to our employees and clients in the assigned locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
  • A valid state-issued automobile operator’s license is required.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience in mental health, substance use, emergency department or community treatment center setting serving vulnerable populations.
  • Additional experience and course work in the mental health/substance abuse/criminal justice related field with clients who have co-occurring mental health disorders is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process referrals for labs and treatment within and outside of the agency.
  • Manage client follow up and collaboration with treatment teams inside and outside of the agency.
  • Collect and document all information in the EHR, including appropriate releases, treatment plans, labs, medical records, referrals, outcomes and all other duties pertaining to referrals and collaborative treatment.
  • Run reports and complete duties to ensure compliance with CCBHC standards are met.
  • May provide nursing support to additional clinics as appropriate to agency and/or program which can include: Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement quality, trauma informed, age-appropriate care for the client and family, promoting optimal client outcomes in a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Completes nursing assessment including client health information and history, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, symptoms, safety, and all other pertinent information required for program appropriate care.
  • Documents in the EHR and shares client information and current condition with care team members in a timely manner to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
  • Demonstrates culturally competent knowledge and respect for all clients and guests through verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and behaviors.
  • Provides support as needed
  • Safeguards Protected Health Information written and electronically and maintains confidentiality in accordance with ReDiscover’s policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
