About The Position

The Referral Coordinator, under direct supervision of the Practice Manager/Administrator, coordinates and supervises all aspects of the patient referral process, adhering to established timelines and procedures. They work in collaboration with clinic staff, referring physician office staff, third-party payers, and patients to complete and expedite the referral process. All performed duties are expected to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a physician’s office.
Must have insurance experience.
Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
Must be able to demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and apply appropriate professional skills to a patient population of all ages.
