About The Position

The Referral Coordinator maintains information flow in the managed care referral process for all contracted managed care health plans. The role performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday day position at Mercy Clinic Springfield - ENT Surgery Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Work experience in a physician's office or medical institution, with exposure to managed care and primary care rules and practices.
• Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff, doctors, nurses, patients, and managed care representatives.
• Skill in organizing work to achieve clinic goals and objectives.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements.
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
