About The Position

SMG Family & Internal Medicine Physicians Careplex W 300 is now hiring a Referral Coordinator in the Hampton, VA area. This position provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. The Referral Coordinator will coordinate the referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by the provider. This is a remote position.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Medical terminology preferred.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third party payers.
One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred.
Knowledge of EPIC preferred.
Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
