About The Position

The Referral Agent is responsible for coordinating timely, accurate, and patient-centered scheduling of referrals and appointments within St. Peter’s Health Medical Group. Serving as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and care teams, this role helps ensure a seamless patient experience by managing scheduling activities, obtaining and verifying patient information, and communicating important appointment details and visit instructions. This position works collaboratively with clinic teams and departments across the organization to support efficient scheduling workflows, maximize provider schedules, and ensure continuity of care. The Referral Agent delivers exceptional customer service while handling incoming calls, coordinating referrals, and assisting patients with questions regarding appointments, directions, preparation instructions, and payment expectations.
