The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a Reference Librarian for the Utica Campus Library.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited program, or anticipated completion by December 2026
- Service-oriented, reliable, and flexible
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently

Responsibilities
- Provides general reference services in person and online
- Provides excellent customer service: welcome patrons, enforce library policies, assist in opening and closing the library as needed
- Conducts instructional sessions as part of the library’s information literacy program
- Provides computer-related assistance to patrons in library lab areas
- Assists with the creation of research guides and online tutorials in support of library instruction and other library services
- Oversees library facilities and ensure smooth operations at assigned campus location
- Contributes to special projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of College Libraries
