The FBM D5LE2 Reentry Team is seeking a Reentry Systems Engineer, Senior to work as liaison between a diverse array of teams from several technical disciplines both within and outside of Lockheed Martin. In this role you will coordinate between stakeholders internal to Lockheed Martin and ensure alignment between DoE and SP Partners. You will support LE2 Reentry Trade Studies, coordinate between procurement and manufacturing of Test Hardware, support Working Groups and TIMs, and provide Reentry expertise in the development/review of data products. In addition, you will evaluate, communicate, document, and maintain LE2 Reentry agreements between internal and external groups.

Requirements

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering processes and methodologies
  • Experience managing schedules, working within, and across multi-disciplinary groups and organizations
  • Experience performing trade studies to develop technical solutions
  • Experience providing technical inputs in the development and review of data products
  • Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to an audience with varied technical backgrounds
  • Prior knowledge or experience with LE2 Reentry Hardware requirements for Ground and Flight Test
  • Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner, work independently, and leverage best practices
  • Experience with FBM D5LE2 processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Current Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Focus on the coordination and collaborations between DoE, LM, and SP Partners to ensure alignment in the lead up to Ground/Flight Testing.
  • Develop Communications, and ensure compatibility, and interoperability of various technical design changes that would influence the compatibility of LE2 Reentry with Missile.
  • Work independently to develop detailed action plans and schedules to accomplish major efforts involving multiple teams.
  • Evaluate, communicate, document, and maintain LE2 Reentry agreements between internal and external groups.
