About The Position

This Program Administrator position integrates work in the Department of Corrections with the justice-involved population by involving community resources to assist these individuals. The mission of the Division of Reentry Services is to improve involvement within the criminal justice system by creating individualized reentry plans, empowering individuals with resources, support and programming, to promote successful reintegration into the community. Reentry occurs when someone is involved in the Criminal Justice System and needs assistance with reentering society.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of professional experience in any operation or program within the field of corrections, law enforcement, probation work, parole work, juvenile justice and/or social work, or a related field.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities

  • Support offenders in reentry efforts in line with departmental guidelines.
  • Facilitate reentry programs for the justice-involved population.
  • Attend and participate in local reentry council meetings.
  • Be a leader in reentry initiatives and act as liaison for institutions, jails and probation and parole to the justice-involved population.
  • Maintain communication with Division of Reentry and community partners, not limited to but including local employers.
  • Analyze program statistical data and create comprehensive status reports.
  • Evaluate and edit current procedures and practices to involve reentry initiatives.
  • Supervise reentry staff in the community and institutions.
  • Effectively case manage the justice-involved population to promote employment and overall success of the individual.
