About The Position

Kanner & Pintaluga is a law firm founded in 2003 that serves property damage and personal injury clients nationwide. The Reductions Specialist verifies and organizes medical bills, checks documents for discrepancies, and carries out appropriate follow-up procedures. The role also involves communicating with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other third parties; negotiating medical bills; preparing closing statements and reports; maintaining forms and records; and completing file closures and final client payments. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to verify medical bills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong and clear phone presence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and coworkers.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

• Legal experience, including experience working with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform general office clerk duties.
• Handle incoming calls and other communications with third parties.
• Verify and negotiate medical bills.
• Communicate daily with insurance companies, clients, and providers.
• Create and distribute closing statements.
• Sort and update required forms and documentation.
• Record information as needed.
• Prepare and circulate reports as needed.
• Close files and send final payment to clients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
