Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for Reducer Quality Intern to be in New Brighton, MN. The Intern term is from June to August, 2026. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose: The Quality Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience in the fundamentals of Quality processes and procedures. Under the guidance of the hiring manager and designated mentors, the intern will learn and assist with procedure and process development, risk management file reviews, and equipment installation and qualification. May produce a final project to demonstrate acquisition of designated essential job functions.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail for this role and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate as a team or independently with management guidance.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing product software is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks or Minitab is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Learns the fundamentals of Document Control, Change Management, and Risk Management.
  • Assist in revising procedures and updating the risk management file to align with best practices and industry standards.
  • May assist in confirming site audit readiness by comparing documented procedures to actual duty performance.
  • Ensures Test Method documentation is accurate and matches physical testing.
  • May draft Test Method Validation (TMV) Protocols.
  • May execute TMV protocols and draft reports.
  • May assist in qualifying equipment and software.
  • May produce a final project to demonstrate acquisition of designated essential job functions.
  • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
  • Other duties as assigned and appropriate for internship.
