About The Position
Bottle and Can Retrieval Centers is recruiting for a Part Time Redemption Center Associate at our Amsterdam, NY Location. This role involves assisting customers with their recyclable beverage containers, counting these containers manually or using technology, and processing customer transactions using a cash register. The associate will also be responsible for processing and storing bottles and cans in an orderly fashion, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Weekend Availability
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
- Experience in customer service field
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with recycling of bottles, cans and plastic beverage containers.
- Process and store bottles and cans in an orderly fashion.
- Keep a clean and safe work environment around all work areas.
- Count beverage containers manually or use technology.
- Use a cash register to complete customer transactions.
