Requirements

Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.
Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Improvement mindset and problem solving/critical thinking abilities.
Ability to perform simple math.
Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

2-5 years of plastic extrusion experience.
Previous manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Feed the machine an adequate amount of scrap at all times.
Check quality of the pellets being made.
Monitor the heat profiles on the Erema as well as the proper size of the pellet cut and adjusting when needed. Recognize when there is too much water inside the pellets.
Notify supervisors of any factors that may impact the quality of the product being run.
Maintain a clean, safe work area, free of loose scrap, water, resin, plastic shavings, etc.
Use basic computer skills to enter serial numbers of gaylords or rolls being fed into the machine.
Perform daily activities such as housekeeping, maintaining and organizing a safe work environment, and any other paperwork.
Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards.
