About The Position

National Star Services, a facility management company with 27 years of nationwide service, is seeking a Recycling Sorter in Riverdale, IL. This role involves visually inspecting and sorting recyclable metal materials into designated containers. The position requires standing for the entire shift, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining clean work areas. The job is performed outdoors in the yard, exposing the employee to various weather conditions throughout the shift, including rain, heat, cold, and wind. Teamwork and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with approximate hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.90 per hour, with bi-weekly payments.

Requirements

• Bilingual – Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Steel-toe boots (required for safety).
• Two valid forms of ID to apply.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Background check & drug test required.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.) throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and sort recyclable metal materials into labeled containers.
• Stand on your feet throughout the shift.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean.
• Work outdoors in the yard and be exposed to all types of weather during your shift (rain, heat, cold, wind).
• Demonstrate teamwork and attention to detail.
