About The Position

The Recycling Operator is responsible for maintaining and meeting all production goals as well as productivity, to obtain complete customer satisfaction through production value, and employee effectiveness. This role requires operating all recycling equipment safely and efficiently to produce quality materials that meet customer requirements, complying with Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and Work Package Instructions. The operator will communicate and review the status of work in progress at the beginning and end of shifts, perform startups and shutdowns of equipment as needed, and report decisions, problems, and questions to management in a timely manner. A key responsibility includes the safe operation of a fork truck and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The role also involves assisting in special projects and adhering to all Quality, Safety, and Environmental Procedures, as well as upholding the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience a plus but not required, must be willing to learn and follow procedures.
  • Basic math skills required and detail oriented.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English efficiently, preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate with others and management.
  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise.
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, squat, bend, climb, carry, and reach as required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
