About The Position

Material Handlers move recyclable material through the facility, conduct material grading, and evaluate for sale destination. This role operates on a rotating shift schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off, with shifts running from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Zero (0) to four (4) years previous experience (in addition to education requirements)
  • Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing.
  • This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols.
  • As part of the ongoing employment requirements, the successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—including pre‑employment screening, post‑incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing—in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
  • In order to travel by air or access federal property, federal law requires individuals have a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative. This position may require the successful candidate to travel by air for business reasons or service federal property. Accordingly, successful candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative.

Responsibilities

  • Moves material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, hoist, crane) as required.
  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Uses the computer to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Completes paperwork to properly document work performed.
  • Conducts material audits.
