About The Position

The Building People, LLC is seeking a full-time Facilities Support Recycling Laborer. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering all types of material that will be recycled including but not limited to cardboard, plastic, paper, and aluminum cans. The Recycling Laborer will sort, process, and transport recyclable materials. The candidate will work in a government facilities and will collect recyclables from multiple buildings.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with customers and other workers.
Ability to direct drivers and/or customers to loading and unloading areas and assist with loading and unloading.
Ability to separate materials into groups based on the material makeup of products and weigh them.
Ability to ensure safe handling of hazardous materials that are heavy or bulky, or that may be potentially dangerous, such as glass and metals.
Ability to clean and maintain recycling equipment and facility throughout the day.
Ability to attend all required training and meetings.
Ability to perform other duties as assigned, which may be Baler or Forklift Operator.
Ability to separate recyclables into different groups by material, such as paper, glass, and metal.
Ability to use forklifts or other loaders to move materials onto conveyors or trucks.
Ability to clean work areas and materials to prepare them for recycling.
Ability to decontaminate: Remove hazardous or toxic substances from equipment or sites.
Ability to operate recycling equipment, forklifts, and other loaders.
Ability to provide information and assistance to customers and other site user.

Experience as a Baler or Forklift Operator.
