About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary position focused on providing field operations service to the city’s twenty public drop-off recycling locations and 400 recycling corner cans. The role involves monitoring litter and dumpsite areas, focusing on identified problem areas, and supplementing with regular routes. The technician will also communicate with customers professionally and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Proof of car insurance
Own vehicle (to receive mileage reimbursement)
Ability to pass an FBI/BCI and County Background Check
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively to customers and Eastern Staff members
Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
The ability to follow orders given by management
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic Microsoft Office tools namely Outlook for email and calendar
Teams for direct messages and virtual calls.

Nice To Haves

Very basic Excel would be a plus

Responsibilities
