About The Position
The Town of Stony Plain is currently recruiting a temporary part-time Recycling Centre Attendant. This position is responsible for maintaining the recycling depot and surrounding landscaping, welcoming and assisting residents, and providing education on proper recycling practices. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in a physically active environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service to the community.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of recycling systems and waste diversion practices
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing more than 12 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely use hand tools and equipment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service orientated environment
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License
