About The Position

This is work coordinating and performing recycle and refuse collection on the university campus to include operating large dump trucks, pickup trucks, utility vehicles with tow able carts, forklifts and other equipment in a safe and legal manner while performing the duties of gathering these materials for resale or disposal from throughout the campus and transporting them off campus to recycling vendors when required.

Requirements

Completion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
Some positions may require possession of a classified driver’s license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.
This position requires a background check.
In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator

Responsibilities

Collection of refuse and recyclable materials.
Processes recyclable/refuse materials.
Disposes of scrap metals.
Disposes of surplus equipment.
Tables/chairs set-up requests.
Assist supervisor with coordinating daily departmental operations
Possess work orders in work management system
Special set-up requests
Graduations
Provides manpower during events
Cleans up after events
Receives and delivers supplies
Assists other departments as needed
Assist with any other Physical Facilities responsibilities as requested by supervisor.
This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
