About The Position

The Recycle Coordinator is responsible for handling and scheduling pick up of all recyclable materials produced by the facility. This role involves collecting various recyclable materials, operating compactors and balers, reporting equipment maintenance issues, coordinating pick-up of containers, and maintaining accurate records of materials leaving the facility. The coordinator also handles inventory and packaging of specific items like lamps and re-usable goods for donation. Occasional janitorial duties may also be required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be able to be machine certified
Attention to detail
Problem solving skills
Time management skills
Regularly walks, stands and lifts up to 50lbs.
Seldom/never sits or performs computer work.

Responsibilities

Handle and schedule pick up of all recyclable materials.
Collect loose cardboard and operate compactors.
Report equipment maintenance issues for compactors and balers.
Coordinate pick-up of containers for cardboard, shrink wrap, metal waste, co-mingle, trash, office paper, and lamps.
Collect shrink wrap, bale it, and coordinate pick-up.
Load product (shrink wrap, office paper, lamps).
Account for pallets leaving the building.
Manage vendor door access.
Perform record keeping for all recyclable materials.
Inventory and weigh brass and lead received from retail stores.
Coordinate pick-up, load, and maintain records for brass and lead.
Collect metal waste and coordinate pick-up.
Collect and separate co-mingle materials and coordinate pick-up.
Collect trash and smoker ashes, operate compactor, and streamline landfill waste.
Collect office and mixed paper and coordinate pick-up.
Inventory and package lamps, coordinate pickup, and keep accurate records.
Handle, separate, and coordinate pick-up of re-usable items for donation.
Perform occasional janitorial duties.
