About The Position

The Recycle Center Yard Helper is responsible for processing metal to prepare for shipment, inspecting loads, sorting materials and operating equipment within a Waste Pro recycling facility. This role involves both outdoor industrial work and customer service.

Requirements

Ability to perform labor work
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently
Physically able to push or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds
Physically able to lift independently (unassisted) 50 pounds
Physically able to bend at the waist and knees
Required to use motor coordination and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

High School education/GED or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Process and prepare materials for recycling, inspecting loads, removing debris from material to be recycled
Maintain a clean and organized work environment both inside and outside the facility
Ensure that commodities are loaded, transported and stored in an efficient and timely manner
Work with the team onsite to complete daily maintenance of concrete crushing equipment including cleaning, greasing and fueling
Observe and report any potential malfunctions
Operate the weight station scale
Greet and assist the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service
Attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned
Keep up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA
Perform any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor
