About The Position

Yazoo Mills, Inc., a leading manufacturer of paper tubes and cores, is seeking a Recut Setup Operator for their Plant 3 facility in Hanover, PA. This is a second shift position. The Recut Setup Operator will be responsible for setting up recutting machines to cut cores into smaller lengths, running and understanding machine operations, and problem-solving related issues.

Requirements

High school education/GED
1-2 years of manufacturing experience with prior machine operation and set up experience
Must be able to read a tape measure
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Set-up recutting machines to cut cores into smaller lengths for industry.
Run and understand operation of the recut machines.
Problem solve issues related to the position.
Read and understand spec sheet and production orders to set-up machines correctly to produce a quality product.
Measure, caliper, and check the overall quality of the tolerances per spec sheet.
Understand all machine operations to cut the product to spec sheet/customer specifications.
Identify quality deficiencies and perform corrective action.
Communicate finished product on production order.
Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain clean and orderly work area.
Accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and other essential tasks assigned.
Lift 50 lbs., bend and twist throughout the work day.
