About The Position

Yazoo Mills, Inc., a leading manufacturer of paper tubes and cores, is seeking a Recut Set-Up Operator to join their team in New Oxford and Hanover, PA. This is a full-time position with a stable, family-owned company that has been in business for over 120 years. The Recut Set-Up Operator will be responsible for setting up recutting machines to cut cores into smaller lengths according to production orders and customer specifications, ensuring quality and identifying/correcting any deficiencies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Prior machine operating experience is required.
Ability to problem-solve issues related to the position.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, and twist throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

Read and understand production orders to set up machines correctly to produce a quality product.
Measure, use a caliper, and check the overall quality of the tolerances per the production order.
Understand all machine operations to cut the product to the customer specifications.
Identify quality deficiencies and the ability to identify and perform corrective action.
Communicate finished product on the production order.
Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and other essential tasks as assigned.
Lift 50 lbs, bend, and twist throughout the workday.
