About The Position

Join our Employment Services team and help connect talented professionals with meaningful opportunities at the University. As the Recruitment & Employment Services Manager, you will play an important role in shaping the recruitment experience for candidates, hiring managers, and search committees across the institution. In partnership with the Executive Director of Talent Management, Employee Relations & HR Operations, this position guides the recruitment process from initial planning through finalist selection and onboarding. The Manager collaborates with hiring managers, department heads, deans, chairs, search chairs, and search committees to develop recruitment strategies, identify effective advertising sources, and expand outreach to attract a diverse and highly qualified applicant pool. The position serves as a strategic search advisor for benefited staff and grant-funded staff searches, providing guidance at each stage of the process to support consistent, well-informed hiring decisions. The Manager also builds and maintains productive relationships with state agencies, advertising agencies, background check vendors, and other external partners. In addition, the position works with departments to manage applicant pools and ensure a positive candidate experience when positions are filled.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources or other related field
  • 8-10 years’ experience working in human resources, preferably in recruitment
  • Consideration will be given for individuals with Associate’s degree and 10+ years of significant human resources experience or HS Diploma/GED equivalent and significant (12+ years) human resources experience
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Demonstrated skill in working with employees at all levels in an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build cross-functional partnerships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent follow through on commitments, using sound judgment with the ability to recognize and handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of HRIS (PeopleSoft, Workday, etc.) and applicant tracking systems preferred
  • Experience working in a higher education setting preferred
