About The Position

Vapi is seeking a Recruiting Programs Manager to own every candidate-facing program, including employer brand and careers content, technical events and community, the referral program, university and early-career pipeline, and talent community. This role is crucial for competing with top AI companies for talent, as employer brand and candidate presence are key to winning offers. The position will be built in-house with a dedicated owner, rather than outsourced. The manager will report directly to the Head of Talent.

Requirements

  • Experience building recruiting programs, employer brand, or talent community from scratch, ideally at a fast-growing startup competing for technical talent.
  • Experience as an events operator: ability to run a hackathon, engineering meetup, or campus info session end-to-end.
  • Proficiency in recruiting metrics: cost-per-hire, referral %, sourced-hire %, time-to-fill, and offer acceptance.
  • Understanding of the difference between marketing to customers and marketing to candidates.
  • Ability to partner tightly with a Marketing team.
  • Strong writing skills for careers pages, newsletters, event copy, and team spotlights.
  • Comfort being the first and only owner of this function and building programs quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Own employer brand and careers content.
  • Manage technical events and community engagement.
  • Oversee the referral program.
  • Develop university and early-career pipelines.
  • Build and nurture the talent community.
  • Audit and improve the careers site, Glassdoor/Comparably presence, referral program, and event footprint.
  • Baseline and track key recruiting metrics (cost-per-hire, referral %, sourced-hire %, time-to-fill, offer acceptance).
  • Relaunch the referral program with clear incentives, campaigns, and tracking.
  • Stand up a shared event calendar with Marketing.
  • Publish careers-site and "life at Vapi" content.
  • Host recruiting-focused technical events (hackathons, meetups, campus sessions).
  • Launch and manage the talent community and nurture motion (newsletter, team spotlights, re-engagement).
  • Present a 12-month program roadmap with targets.
