Recruiting Operations Analyst

BoxChicago, IL
$67,000 - $75,000Hybrid

About The Position

Box is seeking a Recruiting Operations Analyst to join their team. This role is crucial for building the recruiting function of the future, focusing on data-informed decisions, process optimization, and AI integration. The analyst will own the recruiting data infrastructure, manage the tech stack, and drive enablement and ROI for all tools. A key aspect of the role is experimenting with and building AI-assisted workflows to transform recruiting operations. Box is an AI-first company that values collaboration and in-person interaction, with employees expected to work from the office at least 3 days a week.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in Recruiting Operations, Talent Analytics, People Operations, or a similar data-focused role
  • Strong analytical instincts — you're comfortable working with messy data, building reports from scratch, and surfacing patterns that matter
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting or HR systems (Greenhouse ATS strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with reporting tools and data visualization — Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools like Tableau or Looker
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and automation — you don't need to be an engineer, but you should be someone who tinkers, experiments, and has opinions about where AI can and can't add value
  • Strong collaborator and communicator — you can tell a data story that moves people to action
  • Based in Chicago, IL

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with recruiting analytics programs or KPI frameworks
  • Experience with API integrations or low-code/no-code automation tools
  • Familiarity with AI tools in a recruiting or HR context — whether that's prompt engineering, building GPT-based workflows, or experimenting with agent frameworks
  • Experience supporting OFCCP compliance reporting or other data-driven compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Partner and collaborate with Recruiters, Recruiting Managers, and cross-functional partners such as People Analytics, People Operations.
  • Support stakeholders with recruiting dashboards to raise the proficiency level across the recruitment team — covering pipeline health, funnel conversion, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and more.
  • Ensure data integrity across all recruiting systems; establish and maintain processes that keep our data accurate and trustworthy.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for recruiters, hiring managers, and senior leadership.
  • Build enablement resources such as: reporting guides, data dictionaries, metric definitions that empower the team to self-serve on data.
  • Serve as an admin and subject matter expert for Greenhouse ATS, including configurations, workflows, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
  • Help optimize our broader recruiting tech stack (Greenhouse, Workday, FindEm, CoderPad, and others), with a sharp eye on how tools work together and where the stack has gaps.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and system issues, providing hands-on support to recruiters and hiring teams.
  • Support process improvement initiatives using data to identify inefficiencies and measure the impact of changes.
  • Actively experiment with AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual work, improve data quality, or accelerate recruiting processes.
  • Identify automation opportunities across the recruiting function and prototype solutions whether that's an AI-powered reporting pipeline, a Greenhouse integration, or a candidate communication workflow.
  • Contribute to the team's broader AI fluency by sharing what you're building, what's working, and what isn't.
