About The Position

BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking for an experienced Recruiter to join the Human Resources team. This position will be communicating with prospective candidates/employees inside and outside the company and at all levels, so we are looking for someone who can be professional, work in a fast-paced environment and be highly motivated. The Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist position is an hourly non-exempt position with a general schedule of Monday through Friday - 8am to 5pm. There may be some Overtime required but will be limited. The hourly wage will be based on experience. There are yearly performance reviews/increases and performance bonus potential. BRT is a growing aluminum extrusions company. Our aluminum extrusions are used in countless products and as we grow, our employees will grow as well.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience working as a recruiter in any industry
  • Must have excellent communication skills -verbally and in writing to build relationships with people/organizations.
  • Will involve public speaking to groups and individuals about the Company and positions within BRT.
  • Must be computer and social media savvy.
  • Will be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to focus on the recruiting and recruiting process while staying organized and detail oriented in moving candidates forward through the interview/hiring process.
  • Must be able to show a sense of urgency to complete and prioritize recruiting projects and handle multiple recruiting challenges at any given time.
  • Must show an ability to solve problems and make decisions based on objectivity.
  • Will be flexible in taking on additional projects are requested or required by the HR team.
  • Must be willing to participate in all required job and or employment related trainings. This includes but is not limited to all safety and technical or role or tool specific trainings.

Nice To Haves

  • Recruiting for manufacturing positions is a plus.
  • Experience with recruiting tools, system, software is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Will use online tools and systems to find talent for most BRT positions, from hourly utility workers to management staff and supervisors.
  • Will work directly with hiring managers/department managers and some leaders to conduct intake sessions on staffing/position needs to zero in on the best information to find the best candidates.
  • Will research, schedule, and attend recruiting events and collaborate with local/regional community leaders and schools to generate interest and candidates to fill BRT positions.
  • Will use a thorough and objectively consistent interview selection process for every position and every eligible candidate.
  • Will work collaboratively with members on HR team including but not limited to the training department to ensure smooth transition from hiring to onboarding/training.
  • Will research and be familiar with emerging/new recruiting tools/systems/processes to stay abreast of new recruiting opportunities.
  • Will work within the HRIS and ATS systems to manage and track the candidate process from interview to onboarding.
  • Will support HR in ensuring background checks and the E-Verify process is complete to stay compliant in our hiring practices.
  • Will complete some of the administrative portion of the employee onboarding process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is correct and complete in the HRIS.
  • Use Outlook calendar daily, ensuring that interviews/schedules and information are up to date for hiring managers, HR, and the Administrative Assistant.
  • Comply with Company policies including but not limited to attendance and safety policies
  • Will generally work an 8am to 5pm shift. During peak season, OT may be required but will be limited.
  • Complete other tasks as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
  • Will track and record hiring metrics for report out to HR/Leadership.
  • Attend meetings, as necessary.
  • This position is about 40% administrative and 60% recruiting.
