About The Position

Amazon is seeking a Recruiting Business Partner to join the Amazon University Talent Acquisition team. This role will support the growth of graduate student hiring across all Amazon businesses. The Recruiting Business Partner will align with the business, working closely with leaders and Talent Acquisition to drive campus recruiting strategy. This includes requirements gathering, process improvement for interviewing and closing candidates, and serving as the main point of contact for multiple lines of business within Amazon. The individual will also consult with business leadership on market trends, talent strategy, and other important areas within student hiring. The role requires drawing on knowledge of talent acquisition and/or program management, with a strong ability to navigate ambiguity, think critically, and build relationships with stakeholders, academic leaders, hiring managers, and PXT partners. Recruiters on this team have the opportunity to represent Amazon’s employer brand to students. The individual will cultivate relationships with academic leaders, candidates, and community influencers through in-person interactions at conferences and strategic sourcing efforts throughout the year. The ideal candidate must be able to earn trust and influence autonomously, plan and prioritize against customer targets, manage and hire candidates within tight timelines, demonstrate the ability to use metrics to drive results, and remain calm during high-volume periods. Thriving in a growth environment and possessing strong problem-solving skills are critical for success. The best candidate will leverage extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition while building dynamic relationships with business leaders, cross-functional partners, and centralized student hiring teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate and or search firm progressive recruiting including full life cycle recruiting experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across other functional areas of talent acquisition, ideally diversity recruiting, research or analytics
  • Experience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and become an advisor to business leaders and stakeholders in developing and implementing student hiring strategies that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company.
  • Articulate in writing recruitment plans with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
  • Partner with hiring teams to build effective student sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
  • Participate in and/or own special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, calibration with Hiring Managers and engagement strategies that will attract the best and brightest student talent.
