This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. Blue Origin is pioneering the future of space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation consists of optically interconnected satellites in both Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide. TeraWave represents one of Blue Origin's most ambitious and high-impact new business ventures — and building the team behind it starts with exceptional talent. As a member of Blue Origin's Talent Acquisition team, you will drive strategic technical recruiting across TeraWave's satellite and semiconductor programs — establishing the end-to-end standards, methodologies, and best practices that define excellence in technical talent acquisition. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering market insights and talent strategy while managing high-stakes searches with precision and discretion. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in candidate generation and sourcing for technical roles spanning software, embedded software, optical, radio frequency, and ASIC or semiconductor technology. They possess exceptional judgment in evaluating technical talent and the strategic acumen to position TeraWave as the premier destination for industry-leading professionals who want to shape the future of satellite communications. This is a Fixed Term position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed above.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or additional years of recruiting experience
  • 3+ years of technical recruiting experience to include engineering or related positions

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Design and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract and hire top technical talent across software, embedded software, optical, RF, and ASIC/semiconductor disciplines.
  • Conduct proactive market mapping and competitive benchmarking to stay ahead of talent trends in the satellite and semiconductor industries.
  • Build and sustain robust candidate pipelines for critical technical roles, converting prospects into engaged candidates through meaningful, long-term relationships.
  • Deliver thorough candidate assessments and reports — including evaluations of technical qualifications and leadership capabilities — to inform senior leadership hiring decisions.
  • Strategic Leadership & Partnership: Align recruiting strategies with TeraWave's program objectives and organizational growth goals through close collaboration with senior and business unit leadership.
  • Provide talent intelligence that informs leadership decisions on workforce planning and emerging market trends affecting TeraWave's technical talent landscape.
  • Mentor and develop junior recruiters, offering hands-on guidance on best practices and supporting their career growth.
  • Lead and participate in scoping discussions, weekly check-ins, and candidate debriefs with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present search status reports and lead regular client update meetings on active searches.
  • Search & Selection: Partner with hiring managers to develop sourcing models and targeted search strategies; calibrate candidate profiles to align with evolving role requirements.
  • Apply advanced assessment techniques to evaluate specialized skills in digital design, analog design, RTL coding, physical design, and related disciplines.
  • Dive deep into technical requirements with a curious, inquisitive mindset to ensure a thorough understanding of each role and business unit.
  • Candidate Experience: Champion an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through offer, ensuring every interaction reflects TeraWave's mission and culture.
  • Lead high-impact touchpoints — including executive meetings, site visits, and technical discussions — that authentically represent who we are and why top talent should join us.
  • Process Excellence & Insights: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance recruitment efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and overall program impact.
  • Stay current on semiconductor industry trends, emerging recruitment technologies, and best practices in technical talent acquisition.
