About The Position

Road to Responsibility (RTR) is seeking a Recruitment Assistant to support the Director of Recruitment in various recruiting and onboarding activities. This role involves coordinating schedules, maintaining candidate databases, screening candidates, and facilitating a smooth hiring process. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, work well within a team, and possess strong organizational skills to maintain efficiency within the hiring department.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies, and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Director with recruiting, screening, and onboarding activities
  • Facilitate a smooth hiring process for both the hiring team and job applicants
  • Maintain the hiring department’s high degree of organization and efficiency.
  • Draft communications materials, such as job postings, emails to candidates, and offer and rejection letters
  • Collaborate with the hiring team to carry out streamlined onboarding processes
  • Assist Director with tracking
  • Perform clerical duties like emailing, making phone calls, and requesting documents
  • Review applications and screen candidates
  • Refer candidates for interview and track progress
  • Create job listings and post them online
  • Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database
  • Assist candidates during the interview process, answering questions and providing them with key materials
