About The Position

Attracts, evaluates, and refers candidates for open positions, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms, and other sourcing methods. Develops job advertisements and screens resumes/applications. Contacts candidates to ascertain fit and schedules interviews. Extends offers and negotiates compensation. Initiates onboarding plan for new hires. Ensures assigned positions are filled efficiently and effectively. May facilitate orientation for new employees and perform exit interviews for employees leaving the organization.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 0–2 years of recruiting, human resources, or related experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience using online platforms and social media for candidate sourcing (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed)
  • Basic computer proficiency, including applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Must reside within 30 miles of one of the LifeSkills or Pennyroyal corporate locations

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand the requirements of open positions, including skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Identifying and attracting qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
  • Coordinating interviews, scheduling meetings, and conducting initial screenings to assess candidates’ suitability
  • Collaborating with hiring managers and candidates to finalize employment offers, including salary and benefits.
  • Providing timely and professional communication, feedback, and support throughout the hiring process.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, labor laws, and best practices in recruitment.
  • Creating and posting job descriptions.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of potential candidates for each position available in collaboration with a senior recruiter or HR leader/manager.
  • Participating in job fairs and other recruiting events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
