About The Position

The Recruiter leads high-volume sourcing, screening, and placement for entry-level roles across the Retail and Operations divisions (e.g., sales floor, donations, processing, warehouse/transportation support). This role owns req intake through offer, partners closely with store/operations leaders, and represents Goodwill at occasional job/recruitment fairs and community events. The Recruiter manages the applicant tracking system (ATS) workflow, drives time-to-fill and vacancy reduction, and ensures a welcoming, mission-aligned candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or equivalent recruiting experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel locally to stores, donation centers, warehouses, and events.
  • Eligible for positive outcome on required State of Oklahoma criminal conviction background check.
  • Maintain requirements for legal vehicle operation.
  • Maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
  • Proficiency with ATS and common job boards; MS Office/Google Workspace; ability to build simple dashboards and weekly reports.
  • Strong sourcing creativity, organized multitasker, timely communicator, personable event representative, data-aware decision-maker.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred; high-volume, entry-level, retail, or operations recruiting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • High-volume sourcing & pipelines – Build steady candidate pipelines for entry-level Retail & Operations roles via job boards, community partners, workforce agencies, schools, social media, referrals, and walk-ins; keep talent pools warm and ready.
  • Req intake & hiring manager partnership – Lead structured intake for each requisition; confirm must-haves, schedules, and start dates; coach leaders on selection discipline and service-oriented communication.
  • Screening & interview coordination – Conduct phone screens; schedule interviews and working interviews; standardize evaluations to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Community & job fairs (occasional) – Attend targeted job/recruitment fairs; set up booths; deliver quick screens; schedule next-step interviews; track event ROI.
  • Job postings & advertising – Draft clear, inclusive postings; maintain cost-effective advertising across Goodwill’s website and external platforms; refresh/close postings timely.
  • Candidate experience – Provide timely updates; share information about Goodwill’s mission, facilities, operations, benefits, and growth opportunities; remove friction points in the process.
  • Offer & pre-employment – Prepare offers in alignment with approved ranges; initiate/reference checks, background screens, and drug/alcohol testing per position requirements; document outcomes in the ATS.
  • Onboarding handoff – Coordinate start dates; ensure smooth transition to New Employee Orientation and Day 0–90 onboarding; confirm I-9 and pre-hire steps are complete.
  • ATS ownership & data hygiene – Maintain accurate requisition and candidate records, attachments, and statuses; attach external applications as needed; ensure data is report-ready.
  • Reporting & metrics – Produce weekly staffing and pipeline reports; track time-to-fill, days open, applicant sources, and turnover trends; recommend improvements based on data.
  • Training & enablement – Provide interviewing and candidate-care tips to supervisors; reinforce consistent use of ATS workflows and fair-chance practices.
  • Safety & compliance – Follow company safety programs and recruiting compliance standards; uphold EEO, ADA, and other applicable laws in every stage of the process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
