About The Position

Hire Veterans, is a boutique recruiting agency and internal recruitment arm for Served With Honor and its affiliates, focused on positively impacting the veteran community through specialization in helping companies hire top-tier veteran and veteran family talent. We’re committed to building long-term partnerships by delivering results-driven recruiting with a personal touch. We’re seeking a client-focused Recruiter who’s equal parts recruiter and business developer. The Recruiter will not only source and place top candidates, but you will also help identify, connect with, and build relationships with potential clients who may benefit from our recruiting services. This is an entrepreneurial, results-driven opportunity for someone who enjoys both relationship building (internal / external client) and making placements (contract / permanent).

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, market mapping, and advanced sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator — written, phone, and Teams.
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely.
  • Proactive, persistent, and performance-driven.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting.
  • Experience in recruiting, sales, or client acquisition (B2B or agency preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years Agency/Staffing experience.
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Ashby preferred, and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other job boards.
  • Prior experience with job fairs, campus recruiting, and/or military hiring events.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience recruiting in specialized industries such as technology, healthcare, or engineering.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, skilled trades, or technical recruiting.
  • Prior experience working with veterans or their family members.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with strategic relationships to identify businesses and opportunities either directly or through RFP where recruiting of top-tier veterans and veteran family members is a priority.
  • Research and identify businesses in across sectors where military experience translates to key roles and opportunities.
  • Use LinkedIn, professional networks, email/text campaigns, and other tools to contact HR leaders, business managers, and business owners.
  • Book and conduct introductory calls to pitch Hire Veterans' services.
  • Follow up and close on new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client and prospective client stakeholders, and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing methods to attract top talent, including passive candidates.
  • Source candidates for active roles using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and internal tools.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach, screens, and submittals.
  • Track interactions and pipeline in our CRM.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of engaged veteran and veteran family member job seekers.
  • Source candidates for active roles using LinkedIn and Ashby to support current staffing needs and align with staffing and hiring forecasts, as requested by the leadership team.
  • Executes Talent Acquisition strategy for branding, sourcing, screening, interviewing and selecting top talent, within budgetary constraints.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures for a sustainable and efficient Talent Acquisition program
  • Develops effective recruitment strategies, including job posting optimization and digital employment marketing.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to develop job profiles and maintains communication with them throughout the hiring process.
  • Provides candidates with information on job duties and requirements, training programs, salary, benefits, company mission and values, and company culture.
