About The Position

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for Azul Vision across multiple locations. This role partners closely with leadership and hiring managers to attract, screen, interview, hire qualified candidates. The primary positions to recruit will be Physicians, Medical Directors, ODs, Physician Assistants (PAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Opticians, and Optometrists (ODs). Support positions are Ophthalmic Technicians (Techs), and Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting organizational growth by ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality talent acquisition while delivering positive candidate experiences.

Requirements

  • BS/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments.
  • Healthcare experience required. (PA, RN, NP, MD, ODs, and technicians).
  • Strong interviewing, screening, and candidate assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of California employment and recruiting compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Professional, confidential, and customer-service-oriented approach.
  • May require travel to different clinic locations as needed with or without notice.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to support urgent or high-volume hiring needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle talent acquisition responsibilities for clinical and non-clinical roles, from job posting through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and timelines.
  • Manage headcount reports and share with management team.
  • Source candidates using multiple channels including job boards, referrals, social media, job fairs, and professional networks.
  • Identify, register for, and attend job fairs, career events, and recruitment outreach activities to promote Azul Vision, build candidate pipelines, and support ongoing and future hiring needs.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone/video interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Must attend healthcare industry career fairs and partner with department leaders to ensure a full understanding of needs. Travel may be required.
  • Partner with career centers at colleges and universities, and professional associations for job postings as an outreach function.
  • Facilitate interview panels and provide guidance on interview best practices.
  • Conduct background checks and access Paycom as needed and partner with the credential/licensure department as needed.
  • Prepare and extend job offers in coordination with Human Resources and leadership
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with federal, state (California), and company policies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Support pay transparency and documentation requirements in job postings and offers
  • Represent Azul Vision professionally and positively to all candidates
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Support recruitment events, job fairs, and outreach initiatives as needed
  • Collaborating with HR, Operations, and leadership to forecast hiring needs
  • Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate pipeline, and hiring outcomes
  • Provide regular updates on open requisitions and recruiting progress
  • Create and conduct training presentations to managers on interviewing skills and requisition procedures.
