About The Position

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition professional focused on recruiting experienced accounting professionals within a CPA firm environment. This role will lead full-cycle recruitment for senior-level hires, including Senior Accountants, Managers, Senior Managers, and Directors across Assurance, Tax, and Advisory. This position is highly proactive and outreach-driven. You will spend a significant portion of your time directly engaging passive candidates through cold outreach, including phone calls and LinkedIn messaging, to build relationships and generate interest.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience, ideally focused on experienced hires
  • Agency recruiting and/or in-house talent acquisition experience within professional services
  • Proven experience recruiting public practice accounting talent at the Senior Accountant level and above
  • Comfortable sourcing and engaging passive candidates via cold calling, LinkedIn messaging, referrals, and networking
  • Demonstrated success in engaging and converting passive candidates
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders (e.g., Partners and senior leaders)
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills in a competitive talent market
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience using an ATS/CRM with strong data hygiene and reporting discipline
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for experienced public practice accounting roles (Senior Accountant through Senior Manager/Director/Principal, as applicable) across Assurance, Tax (including Cross-Border Tax), and Advisory
  • Partner with Partners and senior leaders to define hiring needs, scorecards, and candidate profiles
  • Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies to engage passive talent in the CPA firm market
  • Conduct consistent daily outbound outreach (cold calling, LinkedIn messaging, referrals, and networking) to generate qualified pipelines
  • Assess candidates for technical depth, client exposure, and progression within public practice; present shortlists with clear recommendations
  • Manage the end-to-end interview and selection process, ensuring alignment, timely feedback, and strong candidate experience
  • Lead offer strategy and negotiations, supporting closing in a competitive market
  • Track and report talent pipeline, outreach activity, and hiring progress; maintain accurate ATS/CRM data and recruiting dashboards.
