About The Position

We are currently seeking a Recruiter. The recruiter plays a critical role in stewarding the future of Balance by identifying, attracting, and selecting individuals who align with our mission, values, and standards of care. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of talent across clinical, operational, and administrative roles while ensuring that the hiring process reflects the culture and principles of Balance. The Recruiter reports to the People and Administrative Services Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources preferred.
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, behavioral health, or related fields is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to assess both professional competency and cultural alignment.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal and/or company vehicle on Balance Treatment Center business.
  • Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.
  • Must be customer-service driven.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the well-being of clients and the integrity of the program.
  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring decisions for clinical, operational, and administrative roles.
  • Partner with leadership to understand hiring needs and identify the qualities that will allow candidates to succeed within the Balance culture and treatment model.
  • Develop and maintain a proactive pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, outreach, and strategic sourcing.
  • Create and manage job postings across recruitment platforms while ensuring messaging accurately reflects the mission and culture of Balance.
  • Coordinate interview processes and maintain a positive, organized, and efficient hiring experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, professional experience, and cultural alignment with Balance’s values and treatment philosophy.
  • Evaluate candidates not only for technical competency, but also for alignment with the organization’s approach to healing and connection.
  • Present qualified candidates to leadership with thoughtful assessments and recommendations.
  • Maintain consistent documentation and tracking of recruitment activity.
  • Cultivate relationships with clinicians, professionals, and community members to build a strong network of potential candidates.
  • Engage with graduate programs, professional organizations, and industry networks to identify emerging talent.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with promising candidates for future opportunities.
  • Ensure all candidates experience a respectful, transparent, and engaging recruitment process.
  • Serve as a professional and authentic representative of Balance Treatment Center, communicating the organization’s mission, culture, and values.
  • Provide clear communication and timely follow-up to candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Work closely with clinical and operational leaders to refine hiring criteria and interview processes.
  • Provide insights into market conditions, candidate trends, and recruitment challenges.
  • Support the development of hiring strategies that strengthen the organization’s long-term growth and staffing stability.
  • Maintain organized tracking of candidate pipelines, interview stages, and hiring metrics.
  • Assist in developing recruitment processes that improve hiring efficiency and quality.
  • Support onboarding coordination to ensure a smooth transition from hiring to employment.
