About The Position

Recruiters define, develop, plan, and implement strategies to provide a qualified candidate pool resulting in the hiring of motivated and qualified individuals. Recruiters manage the process to hire talented and skilled individuals for Costco by effectively researching, collecting, and maintaining information for all posted positions (internal/external). Recruiters lead recruitment efforts and work closely with hiring managers to enable effective talent acquisition strategies. They manage recruitment processes for a diverse number of positions, facilitate recruitment events, manage job postings and social media, review candidates, conduct screenings, deliver candidate feedback, and participate in and/or lead other recruitment projects (IT Intern Program, Employee Referral Program, engagement initiatives, etc.). Requirements

  • Technical recruiter experience with strong knowledge of recruiting for candidates in eCommerce.
  • Successful and proven current experience sourcing for candidates in a variety of tools. Must be an expert power user of LinkedIn Recruit.
  • Experience recruiting in the Java stack, from SDET to Architect.
  • Expert level experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ideally Taleo, and iCIMS.
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Possesses technical knowledge base and maintains knowledge of the technology industry.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.
  • Successful internal candidates will have spent one year or more on their current team.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and executes technical talent acquisition (recruiting, documenting, interviewing, onboarding, etc.).
  • Consults with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and identifies qualified candidates based on required technical skills and cultural fit for the open role.
  • Leads the hiring manager through the candidate assessment and decision-making process.
  • Negotiates and documents candidate offers and salary acceptance, submits the offer for executive approval, and extends the offer to the desired candidate(s).
  • Orchestrates the interview process and communicates the details to candidates and appropriate IS management.
  • Guides immigration processes, and collaborates with legal counsel based on the need of the candidate(s).
  • Designs and implements the IT Intern program.
  • Uses subject matter expertise to guide the application of procedures and requirements for meeting Costco's contracting staffing needs.
  • Manages job postings and data collection to efficiently/effectively match prospective candidates to the proper positions utilizing the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Sources, screens and contacts a cultivated pool of candidates using methods such as: cold calling, social media, blogs, networks, and other creative techniques to find the strongest and most-qualified individuals.
  • Validates the qualified candidate(s) by verifying factual information to determine their relevant strength - including background verifications, reference checks, drug screenings, and skills assessments - if applicable.
  • Sources potential candidates utilizing job sites, social networking, career fairs, recruiting agencies/programs, and placement agencies.
  • Identifies external job fairs to attend and creates the appropriate documentation/content for display.
  • Builds strong relationships with hiring managers to create strategic planning partnerships, and to provide a positive recruitment process experience for those involved (Hiring Manager, Candidate, etc.).
  • Collaborates with hiring managers and business leaders to define and document the hiring process, forecasts, and needs.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to increase effective utilization of the recruiting and onboarding platforms.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new methods for sourcing candidates and generating new leads.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, ethical practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Identifies opportunities for streamlining, increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement.
