About The Position

The Recruiter IV will serve as a trusted talent advisor, partnering with HR and business leaders to deliver full-cycle recruiting solutions aligned with The Toro Company’s workforce and talent acquisition strategies. This role requires deep recruiting expertise and market insights to design sourcing strategies, assess candidate viability, and influence hiring and offer decisions for a wide range of roles. The Recruiter IV will lead complex searches, model best practices in candidate evaluation, and contribute to process improvements and recruiting initiatives. This is a specialist role in complex technical and director level recruiting, with the ability to operate independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and serve as a team lead for specific initiatives. Typically requires 4–7+ years of recruiting experience, including technical, executive, and enterprise-level searches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4-7+ years of progressive experience in recruiting and selection
  • 2+ years of experience specializing in technical and executive level recruiting preferred
  • Knowledge of unique education, skills and experiences that candidates require for technology and engineering roles
  • Proven track record of direct sourcing, using online recruitment tools, and best practice recruiting methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of local and regional market drivers and candidate supply and demand
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal leaders, hiring managers and HR partners
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems and online recruitment tools
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws with particular focus on talent acquisition

Responsibilities

  • Advance and support company talent acquisition strategies by translating business objectives into proactive recruiting plans, priorities and initiatives that support organizational needs.
  • Set sourcing strategies and provide expertise on innovative and effective methods (e.g., networking, community outreach, referrals, and social sourcing) to build diverse, sustainable talent pipelines for current and future needs.
  • Identify, lead and implement process improvements and talent acquisition initiatives; act as a subject matter expert and project lead for key recruiting programs and pilots.
  • Provide oversight and expertise in candidate evaluation practices, including interviewing techniques, assessment standards, and selection decisions; coach others on best practices as needed.
  • Guide leaders and HR business partners through hiring decisions, evaluating candidate viability and leading offer strategy and negotiations.
  • Effectively and efficiently prioritize requisition loads; work independently to fill positions in a responsive and timely manner and support other recruiters as needed.
  • Establish and optimize relationships with direct hire agencies and external talent partners as needed.
  • Support the development and capability-building of the broader recruiting team through mentoring, collaboration, and sharing of best practices.
